Our History

Kenzie moved to Roatan with her family as a missionary kid alsmost 10 years ago. Her parents are medical missionaries so she has had the opportunity to gain expereince working in different clinics all over the island doing many different things.

Kenzie has always felt that God called her to work with children and that is why she began her college studies in the area of Ministry to Orphans and Vulnerable Children.

Dino is the son of a pastor who grew up on Roatan in a community called French Harbour. He has always had a strong calling to and deep love of music. God has given him much opportunity for learning and because of that he has been able to gain many skills in his life. He currently is a worship leader and a sound engineer for a local church and also helps out with these things at many other churches on the island. He also loves to write music, produce music and teach music.

Dino and Kenzie met on the island at a church through leading worship but it wasn't until 2021 that they began to feel that their hearts were meant to come together as one. That same year in October of 2021 they were married and in January of 2024 they welcomed their first child, Elliette Grace.

In December 2021 they visited the community of Milton Bight together for the first time to help a local friend with a Christmas event for the children. At the end they felt that God had placed that community deep in their heart and was telling them that this was the place where they should serve.

Over the next several months, God began preparing them and helping them to get to know the community better. In march of 2023 the ministry officially began in Milton Bight.

In March of 2023 we finally decided to start doing some activities in the community. We still did not have a location to carry these activities out, however we had already made connections with the community public school and, after a meeting, the director very kindly gave us access to the school yard to carry out the activities.

We started with sports and games with the children, we also sang to Jesus and learned about different bible stories every saturday.

After multiple meetings with the community we were able to rent a small apartment and that is where we currently carry out our activities.

God has shown us his support with every step we have taken in the community. We have made mistakes in many things, but there is a lesson in each one.

After a year of working and getting to know the needs of the community, we now have the urgent need to buy land in or around the community where we can build a much larger center. We have hit a wall as our location is very small and we cannot grow or implement new activities because of the lack of space. We are looking for land and will soon start working to raise money for this project! We know the Lord will be faithful to provide as He has called us to this place and these people. Please reach out if you would like to know more or have any resources that may help!
